Petr Jahoda adventurer, explorer
For Peter the word trip means something quite different than for other mortals. When travelling, this man reaches places that most of us can hardly imagine – places where lions and giraffes run about a few metres far from dusty roads, the only joins with civilization. He visits deserts, bushes, virgin forests. His favourite place is Africa where he travels “to see nacked people”, as he says.
Petr Jahoda is a participant and organizer of many outstanding expeditions especially to natural, wild nations of the world (Papua New Guinea, West Papua. Irian Jaya, Siberut, Ethiopia, Kenja, Namibia). Except that, he is an organizer of expeditions to high mountains and behind the Polar Circle. He was one of the organizers and participants of the successful expedition to Pamir – Lenin´s Pik (7134m). He has climbed plenty of both well known and less known peaks in high mountains - Matterhorn, Mount Blanc, Kilimanjaro, Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya) and others.
Petr Jahoda publishes both in Czech and foreign magazines, has made more than ten documentaries for the Czech Television, is the autor of five travel-ethnographical books. You can find the reviews of his books in prominent geographical and travelogue magazines such as the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. Petr is a founder of the travel agency AAA plus CK, a specialized travel editorship, the AKACIE publisher house, the geographic-photographical magazine CESTOPISY (Travelbooks) and an informative traveller server of the same name. At present he is working as the leader of demanding expeditions in CK Poznání Travel Agency and has his own expedition activities. He has commercial interests in New Guinea and Africa.
