Tecnostretch

The Tecnostretch Fleece family with pile on the reverse side is the fastest growing product category at Pontetorto. An addition of spandex gives the fabric its stretch and special elasticity, while the smooth outers provide the high tech look. All the while, the insulating properties of Pontetorto fleece remain, because the plush inners (sheared and napped or unbrushed with visible loops) trap a large volume of warming air inside.

Production requires skill and craftsmanship, the items should be just as resistant to snagging and pilling (pulled threads and balling) as all the other fleece qualities from Pontetorto. Many years of development and experience has enabled Pontetorto to achieve the ideal combination of fiber density and knitting technique to produce incomparably light, soft, elastic, and yet still durable fabrics.
The incredibly light fabrics with a range starting at 125 g/m² for „superlight“ and extending to approximately 250 g/m² are especially important for the market. Grid structures are also possible and offer a broad range of functional advantages such as low weight, reduced pack size, and better ventilation than basic fleece.
Many different trends are realized in the Tecnostretch items in terms of the new look. The melange look and different colored backings are achieved through a mix of anionic and cationic fibers, or the use of both elements directly in the filament. The pure cationic polyester option is ideal for preventing color migration in models with color blocking.
The Tecnostretch family includes additional special features like the ceramic coatings that can be applied flat or as a pattern, and achieve high test values of 4-5 (top value = 5) for resistance to snagging and pilling. Prints are also possible - with either digital or pigment print options available
